Ahead of the pack and employable School Based Apprenticeship in Media
Posted: 24th Oct
Ever wondered what life is like in the media industry? Thinking that a career in Film, TV or Radio might be for you?
School based Apprenticeships and Traineeships are one way to get an insight into careers in the Media Industry. SbATs involve learning on the job one day a week and training half a day a week at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) as well as doing your senior certificate at school.
Nathan Wood from Geelong Baptist College is employed as a SbAT by Victorian Group Training Company with placement at the Pulse Community Radio. Nathan’s family own a production company and his interest in the media field has grown since getting more hands on in the business. This has led to an opportunity to undertake a Certificate III in Media as an SBAT in 2016 through Diversitat Training.
