Procurement and Contract Officer

We have an exciting fixed term opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Procurement and Contract professional to join our client, a leading community-based organisation which provides disability, aged care, training and employment services nationally.

You will join a team of procurement professionals and support the Group Procurement Manager in delivering the strategic objectives. With your strong communication skills, this role will engage with both internal and external stakeholders and ensure all contracts are managed in accordance with the organisation's terms and conditions. You will have a proactive approach to managing contracts and suppliers via robust processes and management of data and information.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Assist with implementation of key procurement governance, policies, systems, and processes to ensure cost savings, reduction in risk and increase in quality
Development of new and improving current processes
Develop and maintain effective partnerships with key suppliers
Assist with the preparation of purchasing proposals and tenders
Work collaboratively with operational teams to identify and implement actions required to enhance compliance and continuous improvement of the organisation's motor vehicle fleet
Ensure that data integrity and quality is of the highest standards
As the successful incumbent, you will have demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management.

Demonstrated experience with managing internal and external stakeholders
Proven experience in procurement process development, negotiation, and execution
A desire to continuously review and improve current processes
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including statistical analysis/reporting. Working knowledge of Technology One and Smartfleet is advantageous
A commitment to maintaining high levels of data integrity and data quality within required databases and reports
