About the role

The Finance ERP Analyst will provide support to the Finance Systems accountant, and the wider business, in the provision of Oracle Cloud services. This will include creating and maintaining user access, financial delegation changes, management accounting reporting and other core system functions. The role will be aligned to the finance vision of utilising Cloud to its potential to automate work, where possible, and enable all users to have a seamless experience with the system.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage workflow and communication with third party support service providers throughout the life cycle of service tickets, from identification of an issue to resolution and closure.
  • Routinely advise line manager (and other relevant senior managers) on technical issues and solutions, system performance across multiple Cloud platforms and other relevant performance indicators to inform and promote relevant decision making
  • Management of financial delegation changes in Cloud, helping to identify potential conflicts and issues and advising senior management to negotiate a suitable outcome
  • Creation and maintenance of new Cloud users, seeking appropriate approvals and documenting an audit trail using established change processes.
  • Work with other finance business units to assist with reporting and data integrity issues, including peer-to-peer training and other ad hoc queries.
  • As an Oracle Cloud and complex ERP subject matter expert, you will be expected to provide knowledgeable advice on technical matters, as well as develop and evaluate ideas, solutions and innovation concepts in line with business priorities and line manager direction

About you

You are an agile and proactive operator who is looking to make a difference. You have highly-developed communication skills, with the ability to interact with and gain commitment from a diverse group of stakeholders. The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of financial business systems in medium or large-scale organisations
  • Working knowledge and experience in Oracle Cloud enterprise software. Experience in any of Business Intelligence, Budgeting and Forecasting, SQL, Business ETL & report writing would also be an advantage
  • Proven experience and ability to maintain and upgrade finance systems, implement new system solutions and ensure smooth running of existing systems
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex technical advice and using professional judgement to resolve issues and promote change
  • Demonstrated knowledge of management accounting processes and financial reporting within a large, complex business environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or IT Systems are essential.
